Arsenault _Volume I x Issue I_ Welcome to **The Ledger,** a periodic newsletter from _The Book of Ruined Saints_. Each issue gathers four things in one place: the stories currently being released, the stories coming next, general updates from behind the work, and an honest account of where the publication stands. This month, _Dead Reckoning_ remains at the head of the table. _Duplicity_ and _Relicbound_ complete the current slate. _My Best Friend’s Dad_ enters the record with an advance preview, and the publication adopts a release rhythm readers can depend on. The record is open. --- ### Current Series [[ #### Flagship: Dead Reckoning _Dead Reckoning_ remains the flagship series of _The Book of Ruined Saints._ It is the fixed point in the release calendar, the first title named in every Ledger, and the series that sets the pressure for everything published beside it. New installments will arrive **every Friday**. Set amid the seedy streets of South Boston, _Dead Reckoning _follows Cameron Doyle, a once well-to-do Bostonian who has spent five years in prison for a crime he did not commit. His former lover, Sean, committed the crime. Cam took the fall. At first, there were visits and phone calls. Then they dried up. When Cameron learns that Sean has moved on without him, the sacrifice that cost him five years of his life begins to look less like loyalty—and more like the first move in someone else’s escape. Now paroled and furious, Cam sets the ultimate revenge plot in motion. Watch as the man he once was slowly unravels and anyone standing between him and retribution is pulled down with him. #### Duplicity **A hidden property. A secret life. A husband Tyler may never have known at all.** When Tyler catches a glimpse of his husband’s phone, he learns about a property in Upstate New York—one his husband has never mentioned. Tyler slips away to investigate. What he finds is far more dangerous than a secret piece of real estate. The deeper he looks, the more the life he trusted begins to fracture, revealing deception after deception about the man he believed was a loving husband. Every answer points toward another secret. Every discovery forces Tyler to reconsider the marriage he thought he understood. And by the time he sees the full shape of what has been hidden from him, turning back may no longer be possible. #### Relicbound _An ancient relic. An old rival. One professor who never learned to resist temptation._ Dr. Miles Kessler is an expert in antiquities—and in finding trouble far beyond the halls of Trinity University. Sent to authenticate relics recovered west of the Valley of the Kings, he expects a routine academic assignment. Instead, he comes face-to-face with an old rival, a temptation he cannot ignore, and a discovery far more dangerous than any artifact. Some relics were never meant to be found. --- ### Schedule [[ --- ### Cumming Soon… [[ _**His best friend. His father. One discovery guaranteed to destroy every boundary between them.**_ When college student Logan comes home for the weekend, he expects dinner with his newly divorced father and time with Duke, his lifelong best friend. He doesn’t expect to catch the two of them together. Horrified, furious—and far more fascinated than he wants to admit—Logan cannot stop watching. The more he discovers, the harder it becomes to separate betrayal from desire. But if Duke is willing to cross that line with Logan’s father, maybe Logan can cross one of his own. After all, Duke isn’t the only one with a dad next door. And Mr. Martinez has always been impossible to ignore. _My Best Friend’s Dad_ premiere’s soon! --- ### Sweepstakes #### The Amulet of Osiris Sweepstakes [[ The Amulet of Osiris has been recovered—but only one reader will claim its reward. Substack is a crazy place and the things required to be successful here are even crazier. But I’ve gotten a lot of support from other writers along the way. Writers like [Zach Holliday](https://open.substack.com/users/433627968-zach-holliday?utm_source=mentions) who first inspired me and helped me to realize I could actually do this, and [Alex Cunning](https://open.substack.com/users/393851178-alex-cunning?utm_source=mentions) who was one of the first to make me feel welcome, [Gavin E. Black ?](https://open.substack.com/users/138787783-gavin-e-black?utm_source=mentions) for your mentorship and guidance, [Til Brenko](https://open.substack.com/users/511181086-til-brenko?utm_source=mentions) for being there for literally everything, [Arden Tomas™ ????](https://open.substack.com/users/260511374-arden-tomas?utm_source=mentions), [Tristan Hawke](https://open.substack.com/users/473951107-tristan-hawke?utm_source=mentions), and [Magnus Wolfe](https://open.substack.com/users/177205976-magnus-wolfe?utm_source=mentions) for your support.
